Believe it or not some people have no idea how to redeem a promo code on their iPhone. I give away quite a few promo codes that developers have passed on to me and a lot of times I get the question, "how do I redeem this?" The majority of the time, people don't want to redeem codes from iTunes on their computer, simply because once they redeem the code, they will have to sync their devices to get the app. In this article I will go through the simple steps of redeeming a promo code directly from your iPhone. The same steps can be use to redeem codes from your iPad or iPod Touch. Once you go through the steps you will see just how easy it is.
1. Open the App Store app, make sure you tap the Featured tab if it isn't already selected.
2. Scroll down to the very bottom. You will see the tab Redeem.
3. Tap Redeem, you will then be ask to sign in to iTunes.
4. You will then be taken to a screen where you have the option to use the iPhone camera to redeem a code from a gift card or enter it manually (promo codes are normally 12 digits long consisting of capital letters and numbers).
5. Once you've manually entered the code you will see a screen that says "You've successfully redeemed your code" and the app is now installing. That's it, you have successfully redeemed a promo code from your iPhone. The process to redeem a code from the iPad is exactly the same.
