If you want to know which friend or family member is calling you without having to look at your iPhone screen, you can assign them each their own ring tone.
In Phone open Contacts and select the person you want to assign a special ringtone to. Then scroll down and tap Ringtone. Choose the ringtone you want and then tap Done. That ringtone will now play whenever that contact calls you. You can also use this method to change the text tone and vibration patterns.
Once you have selected a ringtone or text tone, you will be able to change them directly from the contact card without tapping Edit.
