Bingo - Pharoah's Way (Free)
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Most of us have at one point in our lives played Bingo, but it still carries the stigma of just being a game played at various veteran's halls across the country. This game from Starlight Interactive looks to change that perception. Pharoah's Way Bingo takes the game of Bingo and embeds it in the era of Ancient Egypt, giving it a luxurious and somewhat mystical twist.
The backdrop on the home screens really draws you in. You get the chance to play bingo in a progressive fashion that takes you through various advanced stages. You begin each game with a set number of bingo chips and cash. A game can see the user play up to four bingo
cards at once, competing against other online players. The goal is to get a bingo to earn cash and keys to unlock a treasure chest after each game to get more prizes and power-ups. As an incentive, the game also gives you a daily chip bonus and there are special prizes for completing a map collection in each level.
Bingo - Pharoah's Way plays smoothly, with no true glitches. It does provide great entertainment for those moments you need to relax. There are a couple of drawbacks to the game that may or may not dampen your experience. There is, for starters, the fact that
for each bingo card that you purchase and don't win on with chips, the amount is reduced doubly from your total. For example, if you play two cards using two bingo chips and don't score a bingo, you lose four chips. It's a bit unfair because this doesn't start until after you've played the game for a bit. In addition, it can be hard to keep track of all the numbers called in the drop-down menu. You also begin the game with a set number of keys, and when you run out you will have to buy more so that you don't miss out on important items in your treasure chest. But it can be a bit annoying to have the treasure chest pop up after every game when you don't have enough to get the keys. Overall, the game overall isn't bad, and it will give you a relaxed game experience for those moments of downtime you may have.
