If and when Apple ever decides to incorporate a wireless charging solution in future iDevices, it will be a killer feature for sure. But until then, it's up to third-party accessory manufacturers to step up to the plate. One system that I've had the pleasure to use is the iPort Charge Case and Stand for iPad mini with Retina display($99.95).
Design
iPort's wireless charging solution comes in two parts: the case and the stand.
The case is composed primarily of two pieces of hard, matte black plastic that slides onto the iPad from the top and bottom. Rubber lines the inside of the case to protect your device from scratches while removing the case. Cutouts are provided for the all of the iPad's buttons. The bottom of the case adds about a half-inch of length to the iPad, which also ports audio out to the front of the device. Finally, two sets of contacts on the back of the case serve to charge your iPad when on the stand.
The stand itself can can hold your iPad at three different viewing angles and supports the iPad in both portrait and landscape orientation.
Functionality
The iPort Charge Case and Stand certainly do what they're supposed to. The best part is that you don't even have to think about it. The case works like any other and is even compatible with Apple's Smart Cover to offer complete protection. The case's soft finish adds some nice grip to the iPad, while the audio ports on the case make holding the iPad in landscape orientation less of a hassle, as you don't have to worry about covering the speakers anymore.
When all is said and done, simply dock your iPad and it begins charging immediately. The stand charges your iPad at 2.4A, which means it'll charge at the same speed as your normal wall charger. The stand has enough weight to it that removing your iPad can be done with one hand.
One nice touch is the additional option to remove the case's bottom charge connector so that you can charge your device with the Lightning cable if you need to.
Pros
Simple to set up and use
Works with Smart Cover
Lightweight
Cons

The Verdict
Considering the separate costs of a nice case, charger, and stand for your iPad, iPort's Charge Case and Stand for iPad mini with Retina display is very reasonably priced and worth getting. It's simple to use and just works.
