The stylish Disco Twin by Supertooth ($199) consists of two portable, rechargeable speakers driven by 16 watts of power each for a total of 32 watts RMS. Connect your Bluetooth-enabled device such as an iPod, iPad, Tablet Smartphone or MP3 player wirelessly for a stereo surround sound experience.
Unlike some Bluetooth devices, these speakers are easily recognized and connected via 2ADP Bluetooth 3.0.
The controls for power, volume, backwards, forwards, and pause are on the top of each speaker. The twins are 7 inches high by 4 inches wide and are roughly hourglass shaped with an attractive design to compliment any decor, modern or traditional. You can use them inside or outside. I enjoy using them to play music while working in my garden. I also enjoy kicking back and listening to audio books on these speakers. My son has borrowed them for camping trips. I hope he didn’t disturb the natural order of things too much.
The Ni MH battery is rechargeable. It takes about two hours for a full charge and will give you three or four hours of play time at high volume, 10 hours at medium volume.
In the box, you get the two speakers, a 3.5 mm cable for non Bluetooth connection, a 12 V wall charger, and a nice carrying bag.
While the suggested retail price is $199 for the pair, I have found them for the very reasonable price $82.30 on Amazon. You can have any color you want, as long as it’s black.
