For months there have been rumors that Apple will be coming out with a TV set. And likely they eventually will. But more recent news reports suggest that a more imminent arrival will be a beefed up Apple TV set top box. Two reports in the Wall Street Journal earlier this week said that Apple has been negotiating with leading cable providers to bring their content to Apple TV. It's not clear yet what that means. Possibly that Apple would supply set top boxes to cable suscribers that would replace the archaic and difficult-to-use boxes they now have.
