I've been using (and have written about) the iPole from FastCap, since I first picked it up at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The hiking iPole model or the telescoping mini iPole both offer a tripod mount (and optional iPhone case with tripod thread) is a great way to take self portraits and include yourself in videos. But the one downside is you have to stretch to turn on or off the recording mode.
