Apple's iPhone, iPad, iPods, Macs, and other products have long been recognized as being elegantly designed. Steve Jobs was given much of the credit, but the person who came up with the designs was Jony Ive. He was surprisingly content to remain in the shadow of Steve Jobs, but it's clear that many of the innovations were equally his. In the recent biography by Walter Isaacson, Steve Jobs is quoted as saying that Ive is his "spiritual twin." Ive is now getting some of the recognition he deserves, including knighthood.
